Head Saber Instructor

Ethan has been involved with fencing at the highest levels for the last 14 years as a nationally competitive saber fencer, coach, and R1 rated referee. He has extensive experience working with students of all ages and abilities, and has coached and officiated at local, regional, and national tournaments. Ethan’s students have fenced and finished in the top 8 at national and international events.

Head Epee Instructor

Maria is a lifelong fencer, coach, and USA Fencing referee with over a 20 years of experience in all three weapons. She specializes in épée and has coached both youth and adult fencers to competitive success at the local and state levels. A former Division I athlete and 4x NCAA Regionals qualifier, Maria brings a strong technical foundation and a passion for athlete development to every class and lesson.

Fencing Instructor

Maya has been fencing and coaching at Salt City Swords for the last 5 years and works with our youth beginner and intermediate students. Maya has placed in the top 8 at local and regional events.

Instructor & Club Administrator

Leo has been fencing and coaching for the last 8 years and has competed nationally and internationally. He placed 1st in Div. 1A at the 2022 USA Fencing Summer Nationals, and is an R1 rated fencing referee and USA Archery Level 2 Instructor.

Volunteer Instructor

Jade has been an athlete and volunteer at Salt City Swords for many years, helping out with all aspects of the club, from coaching classes to refereeing tournaments and helping with maintenance. Jade is also the 2021 Utah State Saber Champion.

Archery Instructor

James is a USA Archery Certified instructor with over 20 years of experience working with students of all abilities. He is also a certified instructor trainer for USA Archery.
